New Member Orientation

When: September 23rd, 2024 at 7pm
Where: Emergency Management Center

                    9521 Tilley Road SW

Requirements to join:  (2024-2025 Season)

• Thurston County Sheriff's Office for Background Check and Fingerprinting. (Let them know you are applying for TCWESAR. This could take time, so start sooner than later).

• Start the IS FEMA 100 and 700 online course. (See Training tab for link, and save your certificates)

• Attend Orientation September 23rd.

• Application Fee (after background check is passed and attend Orientation).

• Be at least 14 years old at the start of training.

• Available to attend Monday night classroom training sessions (at 7pm): September - April.

• Available to attend the 5-7 weekend field trainings (at least four overnights). 

​No prior skills or training required, our annual training program provides you with all the skills you need.
