WHO WE ARE

Established in 1977, our unit is 100% volunteer, comprised of youth (ages 14 to 17) and adult members who are dedicated to help those lost and injured in our community. We rely on donations and fundraisers to fund our lifesaving operations. 

We work with the Thurston County Sheriff's Office to conduct missing person searches in rural and urban settings, recovery missions, evidence searches, and flood control operations.

We are a part of Washington Explorer Search and Rescue (WESAR), a statewide organization comprised of youth and adult volunteers. ​​
